Thus there is no need to run a wire to the regulator to complete the turn-on loop with the ignition. The issues that need attention on most older Mopars are related to the charging circuit itself, not the alternator control circuit.

Web4 de jul. de 2024 · If you have high load components you need a high load sustainable alternator. 10Si were used on carb'd mechanical fuel pump, mechanical cooled GM related vehicles from the mid 70's til early 80's. When electric fuel pumps (EFI) and fans came online the 10Si was replaced with the 12Si family of alternators. I have used this wiring for over 7 years with no problems at all (6v '54 converted to 12v). The lead from the alternator goes through the ammeter to the battery. The ammeter works fine. I usually use some dielectric grease or something to protect the bare metal and to allow for a good connection. 2) Battery positive to disconnect switch, disconnect switch to solenoid. 3) Run that alternator wire to the positive side of the battery. When the plug is removed, the two terminals look like any other GM alternator. My question is, can I reinstall my voltage regulator, plug the connector into the alternator and get my ammeter back?
