Web1 Answer Sorted by: 47 By default, "import scipy" does not import any subpackage. There are too many subpackages with large Fortran extension modules that are slow to load. I do not recommend doing import scipy or the abbreviated import scipy as sp. It's just not very useful. Use from scipy import special, from scipy import linalg, etc. Share Webscipy.special.gammainc(a, x, out=None) = #. Regularized lower incomplete gamma function. It is defined as. P ( a, x) = 1 Γ ( a) ∫ 0 x t a − 1 e − t d t. for a > 0 and x ≥ 0. See [dlmf] for details. Parameters: aarray_like. Positive parameter.

WebIt is the same function as the Python standard library function math.lgamma. When used in conjunction with gammasgn, this function is useful for working in logspace on the real axis without having to deal with complex numbers via the relation exp (gammaln (x)) = gammasgn (x) * gamma (x). WebY = gammainc (X,A) returns the lower incomplete gamma function evaluated at the elements of X and A. Both X and A must be real, and A must be nonnegative. example Y = gammainc (X,A,type) returns the …

Webwhereas in MATLAB, gammainc (z, a) refers to the regularized lower incomplete Gamma function. Obviously, they give different results. To get MATLAB's result in Mathematica, use the following: gammainc [a_, z_] := Gamma [a, 0, z]/Gamma [a] N@gammainc [3, 5] (* 0.875348 *) In fact, you could simplify things slightly: gammainc [a_, z ...
