WebJan 19, 2016 · What I really wanted to highlight here is that Julia is flexible enough to make both the prototype and the final code. You can code using simple syntax like in MATLAB to get things done, and then when you have a working product, start adding macros, parallelization, and type specifications to get something that both complies and runs like C. WebJul 16, 2024 · When I also included @fastmath in the Julia version, it would be even 83% faster than C. This leads to my question: why? Either Julia is more amazing than I originally thought or I am doing something very inefficient in C. I am betting my money on the latter. Some particulars about the implementation: In Julia I use 2D arrays of Float64.
WebUsing julia-config to automatically determine build parameters. The script julia-config.jl was created to aid in determining what build parameters are required by a program that uses embedded Julia. Webusing Pkg Pkg.add ("FFTW") from the Julia REPL. Users with a build of Julia based on Intel's Math Kernel Library (MKL) can use MKL for FFTs by setting a preference in their top-level project by either using the FFTW.set_provider! () method, or by directly setting the preference using Preferences.jl. WebFurther, the fastmath=True keyword argument can be added without concern in this case as the assumption that out of order execution is valid has already been made through the use of parallel=True (as each thread computes a partial sum).
Webjulia> using MethodAnalysis julia> mods = Module[]; julia> visit (Base) do obj if isa(obj, Module) push! (mods, obj) return true # descend into submodules end false # but don't descend into anything else (MethodTables, etc.) end julia> Base.FastMath ∈ mods true You can do this more easily with the convenience utility child_modules.
